That's a pic of me in my cast and my trusty crutches. I'm the three legged girl now. Those crutches are fairly useful, in hitting away pesky dogs, used as "skis" when I am in a chair with wheels, turning the fan on or adjusting the fan's position when I don't want to get up. Of course they are the most useful when I lean on them to walk.
My leg has to be elevated so it's always an extra effort when I have to move. Initially I had to ensure my entourage of pillows came along with me - from the bedroom to the living room or vice versa. But it became a huge bother, so when it was less painful to put my cast on a hard surface, I left my fluffy entourage on my bed.
